A Confederate Legacy is a child in whom a member of the Texas Society Order of Confederate Rose or Texas Division Sons of Confederate Veterans wishes to cultivate an interest in southern heritage and culture.
A “Little Rebel” (boys) and ”Rose Petals” (girls), any child may enroll as a Confederate Legacy from birth through age ten.
They must be sponsored. Sponsors will aspire to instill in Legacy members a sense of understanding, appreciation and pride in Southern history and traditions, and to honor those who sacrificed so much in the defense of their Southern homeland. Legacy members may participate in educational, benevolent and social functions as well as historical preservation with their sponsor and social.
